wipe it

installed new sets of wipers....the ones without besi...it looks kind a funny, but it works well, at least for now...hope it'll last long cause it costs quite a sum...funny thing about this new wipers, when the 19inch wiper was installed on the driver side, it was faulty, so we went back to eneos for a refund, they changed the wiper, yet still the same problem, they can't figure out what was wrong, they even blame it on the windshield...duhh!....suddenly i had an idea, to swap those wipers, install the 18 inch on the driver's side and the 19" on the passenger's side, and hey all works fine! suprised and dumbfounded, we all leave the wipers as it is...now I'm using 19" on the passenger's side, and shorty 18" on the driver's side...more awkwardness....LOL

suspense

well, it's not about suspense, but it's about suspensions really...lol...changed my rear suspensions from stock absorbers + sapura leda sport springs to monroe sensatrac absorbers + stock springs...the car's a bit 'jinjang' at the rear...but not too bad...better comfort now....well, since the old abs were 'dead' (wasnt responding at all), sure can feel a big difference, takde la sakit pinggang passengers yang dok belakang...hehe..after installing the new abs, there was a noisy  buzzing sound...sounds like the tyres hitting the body, and u guessed it, the tyres were hitting the abs (the new ones are a bit bigger than the old ones)...so, went to install spacers lah..what else...lol....next step....change the front suspensions...when? next month!

DIY - radiator flush

it was another lazy sunday, and it's the usual....some DIY activity....today we flushed dak merah's radiator, cleaned her engine bay...shine the hoses and removed the sticker substances from the rear spoiler...

Flushing Radiator step-by-step

step 1: open the radiator's draincock and remove some water, put the draincock back in place

step2: start the engine, until normal running temperature

step 3: pour radiator flush into the warm radiator

step 4: place the radiator cap, not tightly, run the engine for 20 minutes

step 5: stop engine, when cool, remove the draincock again, drain the radiator then run water until water runs clear

step 6: replace the draincock and refill with radiator coolant (and water - depends on the type of coolant)

Cleaning the water tank step-by-step

step 1: remove the water tank from the engine bay (remove screws and unplug wiper sprays hoses)

step 2: clean using water to remove rust

step 3: put some small rocks (with some water) into the tank, then shake it to remove stubborn stains (rust/debris)

step 4: let it dry and screw the water tank back in place

step 5: add water (and a bit of coolant) into the water tank
